In September 2017, Kazona Maycroft won a mandate from Department of Climate Change/Ministry of Environment, Nigeria (“DCC”) and United Nation Development Programme (“UNDP”) to assist Nigeria to develop projects in three identified sectors: Coastal Resilience; Energy Efficiency; and Renewable Energy.
Kazona Maycroft successfully concluded on phase 1 of its mandate in September 2018 and developed a Concept Note to be used to apply for a US$250mln funding under the Global Climate Fund (“GCF”) programme of the UNFCCC. DCC and UNDP are yet to conclude on proceeding with phase 2 of the project. If and when a decision is given on phase 2, Kazona Maycroft is well placed to be considered for the mandate.
